The Story
Island City was born from Chef Anthony’s belief that the blessing of his mother’s food being better than anybody else’s mother's Puerto Rican food (with as much objectivity as any biased son could have), meant that it could be a great privilege to share it with as many people as possible. The pork shoulder roast that was the center piece for all of the family holiday gatherings, is the focus of the menu, with that, juicy pulled chicken thighs and Puerto Rican-ized portobello mushrooms being available in any of the menu options. We have options for all kinds of diets! Allow us to become your new favorite thing!
